On Wednesday 26th May 2010, Lucien and Mina completed Leg 3 for their WPD titles. We completed the route around Swinley Forest and the Crown Estate in just over 5 hours, taking plenty of stops dues to the warm weather. We managed to get lost on several occasions, despite using a GPS and a 1:25,000 map of the area (trust a geologist to get lost even armed with the correct equipment!) The dogs struggled a little as the day got warmer but even after 11 miles, Lucien still managed to drag me back to the car after chasing down a group of cyclists who called him on going up the final hill to "The Lookout". We didn't manage to get many photos this time due to the camera breaking on the previous walk, but we did get some even if they are not brilliant.We stopped for lunch at "The Lower Star Post" at around 5.5 miles, the dogs making light work of their "Jumbone" and downed a liter of water between them. Our thanks again go to Nikki Love for witnessing us. Roll on Leg 4 which we aim to complete next week! (Once my ankles have recovered once again!)
