Selene is full sister to Lucien from a repeat mating of Lewis and Maria. and half sister to Mina She is a sweet little girl who loves her hugs. She arrived with us just before she turned 7 months old. We called Hyteton to ask if we could go on their puppy list for 2011, and after talking to them about Selene we made the decision to go and see her. We just couldn't say no to this beautiful, playful girl and she came home with us on trial. After a couple of weeks, she had her paws under the table and wormed her way into Mina and Lucien's affections too, it is like she has always been here.

Selene is a brave girl, and a smart one too. We only need to teach her to do something once and she has learned it. She likes to watch her big brother and sister play and takes everything in. She has a cheeky side though, and always thinks she is outsmarting us, she is sadly mistaken! We are often catching her sneaking around after finding something she should not have and thinking she has sneaked by us. With a face like hers though, we can never be angry at her.

Selene loves to run in harness and is running with her litter brother Valentino (Hyteton The Doctor), owned by Mark and Allison Smith (Lewiskimo). Selene also loves backpacking, she can't wait to get the pack on and get going and will pull the whole way over a 10 mile walk. Her weight pull career is taking a little longer to get going though. We know she can pull the weight, but she just needs more confidence in what she is doing. She will get it eventually and the 2011/2012 season will just be a training season for her.

Selene is only very lightly shown. It is not an activity she enjoys and her face drops when you take her in the ring. We do not see any point in making her do something she isn't happy doing so on show days she gets to stay home with her daddy, or come along to meet and greet people. It is such a shame that she doesn't want to show as she is such a stunning little girl who would really do well.
